What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser in order to remember information between visits or during a session. Here we also include other browser storage, such as local storage, because legally they are treated in the same way.
Technical cookies: necessary, they cannot be refused
Without them the service does not work. They are exempt from consent and are not used to profile you:
- cliente_sesion — keeps you logged in to your customer area. It lasts a few hours and is deleted when you log out.
- colaborador_sesion — the same for the private collaborators area.
- cliente_sv and colaborador_sv — they travel next to the session cookies and carry a signed stamp that lets us close your open sessions when you change your password. Same lifetime as the session.
- cliente_canje — temporary security cookie for the access link: it ties the link confirmation to the browser that opened it, so nobody can use your link from somewhere else. It expires with the link.
- panel_sesion — session for the internal management panel. It is only created when someone from the luzgasia team logs in; it does not affect visitors.
- Funnel session storage — saves your analysis in progress so that an accidental reload does not make you start from scratch. It is deleted when you close the tab.
- Internal panel theme preference — remembers whether the team uses light or dark mode.
Collaborator attribution cookie: only with your permission
We have a collaborators programme in which they recommend luzgasia with a personal link. If you arrive through one of those links, we need to remember it in order to be able to pay them their commission if you end up contracting.
That cookie is called lg_ref, lasts 30 days and stores only the code of the collaborator who brought you. It does not identify you, it does not track you across other websites and it is not shared with anyone.
For the same purpose and under the same rules there is «lg_amigo»: it remembers whether you arrived with another customer's invitation link (our «Invite and earn» programme), so that their coupon can be applied if you contract. It is only installed if you accept optional cookies and it expires after 30 days.
But it is not essential in order to provide you with the service, so we do not install it without your permission. If you refuse it, your analysis works exactly the same: the only thing that happens is that we will not be able to attribute the recommendation.
What we do NOT use
We do not use analytics cookies, or social network pixels, or advertising, or third-party tracking tools. If we ever incorporate them, we will update this policy and ask you for permission before activating them.
How to change your mind
You can accept or refuse non-necessary cookies whenever you want from the website's cookie notice, and your choice is saved for subsequent visits.
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge). Bear in mind that blocking the technical ones may prevent you from accessing your customer area.
Changes to this policy
If we add cookies other than those described here, we will update this policy and activate the corresponding consent mechanism before using them.
