We tell you what this website stores in your browser, what each thing is for and what you can refuse. No tricks and no notices pushing you to accept.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser in order to remember information between visits or during a session. Here we also include other browser storage, such as local storage and session storage, because legally they are treated in the same way.
Technical cookies: necessary, they cannot be refused
Without them the service does not work, or they are preferences that you choose yourself. They are exempt from consent and are not used to profile you:
- lg_cookies — stores your choice about the optional cookies, with a random identifier that allows us to prove it (section 6). It lasts 12 months.
- lg_idioma — remembers the language you choose, or the language of the page from which you enter your private area. It lasts 12 months.
- lg_funnel_lead (session storage) — saves your analysis in progress and the key that lets you carry on with it, so that an accidental reload does not make you start from scratch. It is deleted when you close the tab.
- lz-recorrido (session storage) — remembers, only for the jump between pages, that you clicked “How it works” on another page, so as to take you to that section of the home page. It is deleted when you arrive.
- lg_guia_voz (local storage) — remembers whether or not you prefer to listen to the voice guide for your result. It is kept until you clear your browser data.
- lg_area_intencion (session storage) — if the form tells you that your email already has an account, it remembers which route you were starting with, so that “Add another contract” opens with that route when you enter your area. It is deleted once used or when you close the tab.
- lg_area_entrada (local storage) — a signal with no data about you, left for one second by the tab in which you enter your area, so that the tab where you were doing your analysis knows you are in and offers it to you. It deletes itself after one second.
- cliente_sesion (if you have a customer account) — keeps you logged in to your customer area. It lasts 6 hours at most and is deleted when you log out.
- cliente_sv — travels together with the customer area session cookie and carries a signed stamp that lets us close your open sessions when you change your password. Same lifetime as the session.
- cliente_canje — temporary security cookie for the access link: it ties the link confirmation to the browser that opened it, so that nobody can use your link from anywhere else. It expires with the link (2 hours at most).
- cliente_reauth — remembers for 20 minutes that you have just signed in with an access link, so as to let you choose or change your password.
- colaborador_sesion and colaborador_sv (if you are a collaborator) — the same for the private collaborators area (6 hours at most).
- panel_sesion, panel_pre2fa, panel_alta and lg_idioma_panel (only for the luzgasia internal team; they do not affect visitors) — the management panel session, its two-step verification, the set-up of a team account and its language.
- Management panel preferences (browser storage; only for the internal team) — the light or dark theme and the tabs and panels the team had open.
Attribution cookies: only with your permission
We have a collaborators programme in which they recommend luzgasia with a personal link. If you arrive through one of those links, we need to remember it in order to be able to pay them their commission if you end up contracting.
That cookie is called lg_ref, lasts 30 days and stores only the code of the collaborator who brought you. It does not identify you, it does not track you across other websites and it is not shared with anyone.
For the same purpose and under the same rules there is lg_amigo: it remembers whether you arrived with another customer's invitation link (our “Invite and earn” programme), so that their coupon can be applied if you contract. It lasts 30 days.
The third is lg_campana, which also lasts 30 days: if you arrive from one of our campaigns, it remembers which one (the “utm_” and “gad_” tags in the address) and, if you arrived from a Google or Microsoft ad, the click identifier that the platform added to the address. That way, if you come back another day to request your analysis, we know which campaign brought you. We only use it for that and it is not shared with anyone; if you say no to ad measurement or withdraw that permission, we delete it. The click identifier is only reported to the platform if, in addition, you give us specific permission for that at the permissions step (privacy policy, section 3).
None of the three is essential in order to provide you with the service, so we do not install them without your permission. If you reject them, your analysis works exactly the same: the only thing that happens is that we will not be able to attribute the recommendation or remember the campaign if you come back another day. If you accepted them and later reject them, we delete them.
Third-party services: help videos and form protection
In the private collaborators area there are help videos hosted on YouTube (Google). They are shown in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode: until you press play, nothing connects to YouTube. When you play them, YouTube (Google) may store data in your browser in accordance with its own policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
On the contact form and on the sign-in screens for the customer and collaborator areas, Cloudflare Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., is loaded: a check that tells people apart from automated programs. It is strictly necessary to protect those forms against abuse, it does not install persistent cookies in your browser and it is not used to track you or for advertising. We explain what data Cloudflare receives in the privacy policy (section 5).
What we do not use
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, social network pixels or third-party tracking tools. The website's fonts are served from our own server.
If you arrive from an ad, the click identifier in the address only travels from the page you landed on as far as the analysis, and it is only stored in your browser if you accept the optional cookies (“lg_campana”, section 3).
We count visits to the website on our own servers, without cookies and without storing anything in your browser (we explain this in the privacy policy, section 2).
How to change your mind
You can accept or reject the optional cookies whenever you want from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page, or from the “Cookie settings” section on this very page: there you will see your current choice and the two buttons. If you reject them after having accepted them, we delete the three optional cookies.
When you decide, we store on our server a record with a random identifier (the same one that is kept in your browser), what you chose, the version of this policy and the date. We do not store your IP address or your browser in that record. This allows us to prove what you decided, and we delete it after 400 days.
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge). Bear in mind that blocking the technical ones may prevent you from accessing your customer area.
Changes to this policy
If we incorporate cookies or tools other than those described here, we will update this policy before using them and ask you for permission for those that require it.
